NERIS Unveils Disaster Recovery Expansion After Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.

NEW YORK, Jan. 15, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- NERIS, a management and business advisory firm, has launched a new service offering: Disaster Recovery and expanded to new geographies, including Texas, Florida, the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Founder/President Kristine Sinkez believes the expansion is perfectly aligned with the company's mission to drive dramatic growth through organic sales, superior performance and enhanced client satisfaction. "Recovery and resiliency efforts in the wake of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria are anticipated to take years to complete, and local communities may find it overwhelming to navigate the labyrinth of federal and state agencies to fund their projects despite the influx of billions of dollars of aid," Kristine said. "The frequency of severe weather events and hurricanes impacting the Gulf and Caribbean are likely to increase in the coming years. It is imperative these communities not only recover from the last disaster but also invest in mitigation and resilience efforts to prepare for the next."

NERIS staff have experience immediately following Hurricane Katrina in 2005 working alongside USACE providing Environmental Compliance for the construction of Temporary Housing Facilities for evacuees; have provided Grant Administration and Program Management for a variety of FEMA Public Assistance and Hazard Mitigation Grant Program-funded infrastructure/resiliency projects as a result of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma and Superstorm Sandy; and Program/Construction Management and Environmental Compliance for HUD CDBG-DR-funded Housing Recovery in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, South Carolina Floods, and Hurricane Matthew.

NERIS is based in New York City and is a leading provider of Permit Expediting, Program Management, and Environmental Compliance services. With 15 years of experience, NERIS has successfully delivered on a variety of projects that demand expertise with compliance requirements at all levels of government. NERIS' culture embraces goals for design and construction excellence; and, its strong tradition of innovation in supporting architecture and engineering. The team weaves in the familiar principles of Equity, Sustainability, Resiliency, and Healthy Living, not only while working among the team and colleagues, but in client deliverables, allowing neighborhoods to maintain a sense of community and safety through the duration of the project, and in the future.
