PROJECT BRIEF

As one of the largest public housing authorities in North America, the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) Public Housing Program consists of over 177,000 apartments within 335 housing developments serving over 615,000 residents through its various programs.

NERIS is privileged to be part of this program to help restore five (5) NYCHA Community Centers in New York City. The scopes of work range from boiler/HVAC replacement, stairway and bathroom upgrades to kitchen, gym, and backyard renovations, and roof replacement. Working closely with the design team and the Department of Design and Construction (DDC), NERIS will collaborate on permit strategy, coordinate with the designer to complete all required forms, submit essential construction request, file all required documents electronically, obtain approval, pull and renew work permits, and obtain Letters of Completion for all New York City required permits.
